Futari

Terms of Use

Last updated: July 23, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Futari (the “Service”), a private, shared diary app for two people. By creating an account or using Futari, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

Who can use Futari

You must be at least 13 years old to use Futari. You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account.

The Service

Futari lets you keep a private diary — on your own, or paired with one partner. Entries, moods, prompts, and special days you and your partner create are visible only to the two of you. Futari has no public feed, no ads, and does not sell your data (see our Privacy Policy for details).

Futari Premium (subscriptions)

Futari offers an optional auto-renewing subscription, Futari Premium, which unlocks pairing with a partner, unlimited special days, and data export. Futari Premium is offered in two options:

  • Monthly — renews automatically every 1 month.
  • Yearly — renews automatically every 1 year.

The price is shown on the purchase screen before you buy and is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited once you purchase a subscription. Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price you agreed to. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime from your Apple ID account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions), Google Play (Play Store → Payments & subscriptions), or from the “Manage subscription” link inside Futari’s Settings — Futari itself cannot cancel or refund a subscription; only Apple or Google can. No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods except where required by law or store policy.

Pairing with a partner

Pairing connects your account with one partner’s account so that you can both see each other’s shared entries. Once paired, your partner can see the content you write in your shared space. Unpairing or deleting your account stops this sharing going forward, but doesn’t retroactively un-share what your partner already saw.

Your content

You own what you write in Futari. You give us only the limited permission needed to store, sync, and display your content to you (and your partner, if paired) so the Service works. We don’t use your entries to train models, serve ads, or share them with anyone outside your pairing.

Acceptable use

Please don’t use Futari to harass, abuse, or harm anyone; to violate any law; to attempt to access another user’s account or data; or to interfere with or disrupt the Service.

Account deletion and termination

You can permanently delete your account anytime from Settings → “Delete my account” — see our Privacy Policy for what that erases. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Futari is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Futari and its developer aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Changes to these Terms

If we make material changes to these Terms, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
